This young man is a real up and coming force in black metal. His stuff reminds me of The Ruins of Beverast; this is just about as high of a complement as I can give a project, as I consider Ruins to have almost perfected what black metal should sound like. This is a huge progression from Wound Empire in terms of density, emotion, and atmosphere. Abstracter truly found a sound which differentiates them from all the other bands in the genre. The repeating guitar riffs seem boring at first, but once you get into the underlying concept of this record it all adds up. Amazing how much effort these guys put into the design (!) of the album. I can only recommend to take proper time to learn appreciating this masterpiece. Mohemian
