Rage. Aggression. Abhorrence. Sound pelted with a raw fury that could only be found in the natural destruction the Earth brings down upon us - these ideas infuse the scorched frame of Ferus Din’s The Great Undying. The band embraces the cacophonous nature of traditional black metal as a backdrop for sprawling, tightly composed epics that chronicle humanity’s demise, Earth’s fury, and that which awakens to conquer all that is left. The music is bombastic and feral at its core, wound through with imploring woodwinds evocative of Celtic influences. The flute gives a furtive glimpse of the heart of our world; it is the sweet sound of the wind that plays on, oblivious, while Ferus Din conducts the orchestra of destruction it has brought.
